Just a group of ladies that serve a God who is "Simply Amazing"

About Us
Jessica Harvey and The Difference is a ministry that was birthed out of the dreams and prophecies given to Elder Jessica Harvey. In May of 2015, Jessica asked some ladies if they would prayerfully take this journey with her, and with no hesitation, they all said yes. These ladies are on a mission to make "the difference" in this world and spread love and hope to everyone they encounter. It is our goal to lead everyone to a real place of worship, and to a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.

All of the ladies that are in "The Difference" are from New Orleans, LA (and maybe one has been here for a substantial amount of time) and are members of different churches, but we all love to sing and worship the Lord. The Difference also embraces the old school gospel sound in our music. We plan on traveling the world and spreading the good news of Jesus Christ.

A Decade of Ministry Excellence
In the 10 years The Difference has been in existence, God has allowed us to travel across the country and share the stage with many gospel artists. We have been on WWLTV Channel 4 for almost all of their morning shows (the news, The 504 & Great Day Louisiana). We have been blessed to be featured at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival for seven consecutive years (2019-present) and the Essence Music Festival Empowerment Series for many years - paying tribute to legendary gospel groups including "The Clark Sisters," Kim Burrell, and many more.

Our recent achievements include being honored as "Group of the Year" by the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation in 2025 and serving as a headliner performer for the National Urban League's "Women in Harmony" brunch during Essence Fest 2025.

Notable Performances & Collaborations
We have been granted the opportunity to open for gospel star James Fortune and FIYA and have shared the stage as background singers for legends at the Essence Fest (Kirk Franklin, The Clark Sisters & many more). We have also been blessed to sing the National Anthem for both of our home teams, the New Orleans Saints and the New Orleans Pelicans (2022-2024).

Our Music & Ministry Impact
We have released two award-winning singles - "Simply" and "For He's Been Good" - both original compositions by Jessica Harvey. We are currently working on our much-anticipated debut album, and we are looking forward to ministering to people all over the world!

Celebrating Our Journey
Our phenomenal 10-year anniversary celebration was truly unforgettable! Despite a citywide power outage that forced us to relocate our anniversary concert, we declared "We trust in GOD, let's SHIFT" and refused to let anything dim the light of our celebration. Most of our former members joined us for this milestone, creating a beautiful reunion that showcased the lasting bonds and sisterhood that music creates. Our elegant anniversary gala was pure magic, where we danced the night away and honored our most dedicated supporters who have walked this journey with us.

During our anniversary celebrations, we were honored to receive recognition and proclamations from Congressman Troy Carter, Mayor LaToya Cantrell, New Orleans City Council members Helena Moreno and JP Morrell, as well as State Representatives Candace Newell and Matthew Willard. These acknowledgments from our local and state leadership reflect the impact our ministry has had on the community over the past decade.

Our Foundation
Jessica Harvey and The Difference operates under the umbrella of Be Bold Ministries. Through all of our endeavors, we remain committed to uplifting families and communities through faith, education, and the transformative power of music.
We are overwhelmed with gratitude for this unforgettable season and excited for all the beautiful music yet to come!
